The National Basketball Association also well known as NBA is a men’s unsurpassed professional basketball league in North America. The league was founded on 6th June 1946 in New York City named as Basketball Association of America. The Basketball Association was founded by the owners of ice hockey arenas in 1946 in Northeastern and Midwestern States of The US along with Canada. This league was renamed as National Basketball Association in the year 1949 after it was merged with its rival National Basketball League (NBL). The National Basketball league has thirty franchised members out of which twenty nine franchisees are located in United States and one franchisee is in Canada. The National Basketball Association has participated in international club competitions.

The National Baseball League played against the continental champions of Federation- Internationale-de-Basketball in McDonald’s championship and won every year it was held. Basketball is the most popular game in the world and NBA has helped club all the professionalism under one roof. In basketball sport there are two teams and each team have five players each. These two teams throw the ball into the opponent’s basket also known as hoop to score the points. Throwing the ball is also known as shooting the ball.
