Kobe Bryant is currently married to Vanessa Laine. They met in 1999 where Vanessa was working as a background dancer for a music video. Kobe was 21 years old at that time and Vanessa, 17 years old. They dated and became engaged 6 months into the relationship. They married in April 18, 2001 where Kobe’s parents, his sisters, his advisor and his teammates did not attend. and now it's all over..

Kobe’s parents did not approve of his marriage to Vanessa because she is not of African-American descent. Kobe and his parents were estranged for two years but reconciled when his daughter was born. His daughter, Natalia who was born in 2002, triggered the reconciliation between Kobe and his parents.

In 2003, he was accused of sexual assault which was filed by a hotel employee. Kobe admitted that he had sex with the 19 year old but the act was consensual. This issue had put a strain on Kobe’s marriage because of this adulterous sexual encounter with the young girl. The court found that Kobe was not guilty of rape and he gained the trust of his wife again soon after. Their second daughter, Gianna, was born in 2006. But it all ended now, as his wife decided it's time to end the marriage.

Kevin Durant, the youngest star of NBA is known for his professionalism, humility and his obsessions with the game of basketball. This is probably a good reason why he has never been steady with any girlfriend, though his romantic stories with the girls at University of Texas can easily fill a story book. Since he joined the NBA in 2007, ranked second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics and picked up by Oklahoma City Thunder Kevin Durant has been creating or breaking record after record. Today his net worth has been estimated at $30 million and he is drawing an annual salary of $14.5 million.

His extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the next five years of basketball season will fetch him $85 million over the 5 year period. Despite all this glam and celebrity status, Kevin Durant has never been fixated on any love interest. His sole interest remains basketball and he seems to be determined to make or break many more records. Kevin Durant has had many advantages that help him play from the shooting guard position, the small forward position as well as the power forward position. One is his height of 6 feet 10 inches, second is his mobility and speed and of course his young age.

Part of you may have wondered if Donnie Walsh's step down from the office of the President of Basketball Operations was nothing more than one giant facepalm.  In the NBA news the Knicks got their man all right. They got Carmelo Anthony who decided he wanted to play in New York and New York only. But instead of capitalizing on what should have been the ultimate position of strength, the Knicks once again managed to bungle the situation, and in doing so, cost themselves a world of assets they needed to build around Anthony.

The Nuggets were going to break. That much was clear. After an All-Star Saturday night meeting between Anthony and Mikhail Prokhorov failed to convince Melo to hitch his wagon to the Brooklyn train, the Nuggets really had no other option. But instead of keeping Donnie Walsh's poker face as the expression of the organization, squeezing every bit of advantage out of a situation they couldn't really lose as long as they remained cool, James Dolan brought Chef Isiah Thomas into the kitchen, turned the burners on high, and torched everything. We thought the days of the Knicks being the team you looked to try and take advantage of were over. But James Dolan proved that you can take the front office out of the crazy, but you can't take the crazy out the ownership. The basketball star player Kevin Durant is worth $30 million today and has an annual income of $14,511,000. His contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder got a 5 year renewal at the rate of $85 million in payment over the next 5 years. But all this definitely did not come easy to Kevin. He has been playing basketball since his high school through his college years at the University of Texas and professional basketball in the NBA since 2007. The Seattle SuperSonics selected him second overall during 2007 pick and that is how Kevin debuted in the National Basketball Association.

Kevin’s game statistics are equally thrilling. His Rookie challenge record of 46 points and 7 rebounds helped his team win the 2009 T-mobile Rookie Challenge. This was not all, he was voted NBA Rookie of the month for 5 times and the NBA Rookie of the year in 2007-2008. During the All-star weekend he captured the H.O.R.S.E. competition for 2009 and 2010.
